I am Tünde Szalay (IPA: /ˈtyndɛ ˈsɑlɑi/), a phonetician working on variation in Australian English, and its implications for speech technology and health. In my projects, I focus on

  • coarticulatory variation and change in lateral-final rimes, and
  • sociophonetic variation in the LGBTQI+ population.

    • I use phonetics to inform

  • Speech corpora and speech technology, and
  • speech health.

    • Across all my projects, I build Praat workflows for acoustic analysis (click here for scripts).
