Welcome!
I am Tünde Szalay (IPA: /ˈtyndɛ ˈsɑlɑi/), a phonetician working on variation in Australian English, and its implications for speech technology and health. In my projects, I focus on
articulatory, acoustic, and perceptual variation in liquids,
articulation of other sounds, and
sociophonetic variation in the LGBTQI+ population.
I use phonetics to build and inform
speech corpora and speech technology, and
speech health.
Across all my projects, I build Praat workflows for acoustic analysis (click here for scripts).
